Most of the labels can be printed in up to six colors per label. We offer 24 standard ink colors plus varnish on most labels which you can specify by using our ink numbers. We can also match to any sample for a charge per color, per order.

Die-cut labels are available in all the standard shapes and sizes shown in this site plus hundreds more. We can also create a custom die shape to your specifications for an additional charge. Butt-cut(square-cornered) labels are available in virtually any size from ¼" x ¼" to 6 ½" x 15". Ask for details.

Choose from one of four options, but please note that requesting a proof will extend total production time. Actual proof time depends on type of label product and type of proof. Changes may result in additional charges. Please see Terms below.

Black-and-white proofs
For quickest turnaround, we will fax the proof unless you indicate otherwise. These paper proofs are $15.

Thermal color proofs
These proofs provide a color representation of your label. Please note the colors will not match the final printed product. Thermal color proofs are available for a charge.

High Resolution Proofs
These color proofs provide a high resolution representation of your label produced from the actual negatives and are ideal for use with 4-color process printing. Please note that there are a limited number of spot colors available with this proofing process. These proofs are available for a charge.

Press proofs
These are actual samples off the press. Press proofs are ideal where color, adhesive, suitability in printers and application machines, and overall appearance are critical. These proofs are available for a charge, per proof.

Special options are available on most labels to increase their beauty, functionality, and durability;

Bleeds can be added, free of charge, on most die-cut labels. NOTE: Not available on butt-cut roll labels.

Reverses can be printed on almost any label except Fast Production Labels on sheets.

Lamination and protective coatings can be added to increase durability, prevent fingerprinting, and create a more vivid appearance. Labels can be consecutively numbered and laminated for applications such as parking decals (there are some restrictions; please ask). See the page on protective coatings for more information.

Consecutive numbering can be added to almost any label, with any start or stop number. Numbers will be imprinted in black ink on paper, vinyl and foil stock.

Foil stamping adds elegance to any label. Choose from 5 different foil colors, a wide variety of stocks and up to six ink colors per label.

Barcoding is available in five different symbologies on many label sizes and shapes.

Static UPC coding can be added to any label. There will be a charge added for every film original.

Backsheet Printing, where the back of the label's liner is printed with your message, is available on many labels. There will be a charge for set-up plus the stated charges for each additional ink color, up to a total of six colors per label- including the backsheet colors. Note: Colors on the back and front are printed separately, so separate charges apply even if the colors used are the same.

Screens and halftones

Screens

1. A screen is defined as a dot structure of graded density. We will create the screen effect for best print quality.
2. Please do not send pre-screened black and white art, it will delay your order.
3. An additional charge per color, per design applies for printing screens.
4. Screen replacement for pre-screened art is available for an additional charge.
5. Many line screens are available.
6. Screens are not available on all products.

1. We will create a halftone from your original continuous-tone art or photograph. Please do not send pre-screened black and white art, it will delay your order.

Blank Labels of any of our standard die shapes can be purchased for a 20% discount off the prices shown unless blank pricing is specified. Combined pricing does not apply.

Machine-applied labels may require special stock, adhesives, spacing, or unwind characteristics. We can meet your needs if you let us know what you require when you place the order.

Roll labels. Most labels are packaged 1,000 labels per roll on 3-inch cores unless otherwise specified. Short rolls are available for an extra charge per roll.

Sheeted labels. Shrink-wrapped for your convenience.

EDP pinfeed & fanfolded labels are available for use with computer printers and typewriters.

Unwind Characteristics can be specified. Call for details.

Dispenser boxes are available upon request for a small assembly charge.

Cancellations

• Permitted until 4:00 pm CT the day the order is placed at no additional charge.
• After 4:00pm CT the day the order is place, but before the job is printed, will result in a charge.
• Jobs cancelled or changed after labels are printed will be invoiced at full price.

Changes

• Permitted until 4:00 pm CT the day the order is placed--at no charge.

Over-runs and under-runs.
We will ship and charge you for up to 10% over or 10% under your specified quantity. An additional charge may apply for "exact quantity".

Combined pricing
Available when the same label shape(die), size, and printing press is used to print different stocks, ink colors, or artwork versions. Please inquire if you feel your order could qualify for combined pricing.
